User Guide to Experiences
WE! is not social media.
It is a shared record of lived experiences.
There are no comments, replies, or debates. No likes, ratings, or rankings. All contributions appear in chronological order.
How to Record Your Experience
You don’t need to be a writer. You don’t need to explain everything.
Just notice something—and describe it.
Start Small
You are not reviewing an event. You are capturing a moment within it.
It could be:
- Something that stayed with you
- Something that surprised you
- A feeling you didn’t expect
- A detail you almost missed
One clear thought is enough.
A Simple Way In
If you’re unsure where to begin, try one of these:
- What stayed with you after you left?
- Which moment did you return to?
- What surprised you?
- How did the space feel?
- What would you tell someone before they visit?
You only need to answer one.
Be Specific
Specific moments are more useful than general reactions.
Instead of: “Great exhibition, really enjoyed it.”
Try: “The final room fell silent—I slowed down without realising.”
It Doesn’t Have to Be Perfect
Your experience can be:
- Brief
- Incomplete
- Personal
- Uncertain
It doesn’t need to be polished. Take a moment to reflect before posting.
If You Didn’t Enjoy It
That’s valid.
You can simply say: “I didn’t enjoy the event.”
If you add more, keep it about your experience—not about attacking others.
What to Avoid
- One-word responses
- Generic statements
- Comments about other people
Focus on your own experience.
Why It Matters
Each contribution helps build a shared record of how events are experienced—not just what they are.
Take a few seconds. Notice something. Add it.
